The Samoa Parliamentary Economic Sector Development Committee, led by Chairman Niuava Eti L Malolo, recently visited the Scientific Research Organisation of Samoa (SROS) on February 13, 2024. The primary focus of the delegation’s visit was to assess the organization’s operations and identify opportunities for further development, with the ultimate goal of enhancing its ability to serve the public with high-quality scientific research and services.
During the visit, the delegation was given a comprehensive tour of SROS’s facilities by CEO Pousui Dr. Fiame Leo, providing them with valuable insights into the organization’s current capabilities and potential areas for improvement. The Chairman and his team engaged in discussions with SROS leadership and staff, seeking to understand their needs and challenges in order to provide necessary support for the organization’s future growth and effectiveness.
The visit underscored the government’s commitment to advancing scientific research and development in Samoa, with the Parliamentary Committee actively engaging with key stakeholders to ensure that SROS continues to play a pivotal role in driving innovation and progress in the country’s economic sector.
